General Performance:
CPU usage was in line with the other motherboards compared, but it was appreciably better than the the CPU load on the Intel D975XBX reference board.
The Foxconn 975X7AA board appeared to be slower than both the reference 975X board and also the NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra comparison mobo from Biostar. Running the board with Radeon X1900 CrossFire didn't result in lower performance, as is expected.
Foxconn's board performed very well in our Xvid encoding test - it was a few seconds slower than the Biostar TForce4 U 775, but nearly two minutes faster than the reference D975XBX from Intel.
Much like the MP3 encoding test, image processing isn't one of the Pentium 4's strengths. However, the Foxconn 975X mobo performed in line with what we would expect from this platform.
